Crispigna’s Italian Market has a rich history. In 1924, Oresta and Joseph Crispigna started Crispigna’s Bros. In the mid 1950s J. Phil & Lona Crispigna working side-by- side with Oresta & Tomaidi Crispigna carried on the family ownership. In 1999, Patricia Crispigna Savarin and her family along side her parents Phil and Lona, became the next generation to be the keeper of the traditions and recipes transforming the store from a neighborhood grocery to an Italian specialty store. On the store’s 90th anniversary, three sets of sisters from the Crispigna, Tedeschi and Formolo families along with their families are now carrying on the tradition. They will continue the great service and keep the rich Italian traditions that Crispingna’s Italian Marker is known for.
